Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Specialist to join our Adult Outpatient Mental Health Program. As a key member of our inter-professional team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing treatment plans for individuals with complex concurrent disorders.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in clinical practice, with a focus on working with individuals living with mental health and addiction issues. You will be required to liaise with other services within the program and with community agencies to coordinate care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care
  • Liaise with community agencies and service providers to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Participate in program development and evaluation activities
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A Master's degree in Social Work from a recognized program
  • Membership in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers
  • Formal training in evidence-based treatment models (motivational interviewing, interpersonal therapy, etc.)
  • At least three years of specialized clinical experience working with individuals with concurrent disorders
  • Training and/or experience in CBT and DBT
  • Strong group facilitation, individual and family counseling, clinical assessment, and treatment skills
  • Knowledge of community resources in mental health and addiction treatment
  • Culturally competent service delivery
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Experience in delivering educational workshops/presentations and capacity building initiatives
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and electronic communication tools
Work Environment

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 7.5-hour shifts (0830-1630) with one evening shift per week (1100-1900). The successful candidate must be able to work flexible hours and travel within the community and to other sites as required.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $44,664 - $57,900 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
