Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Real Estate Investment Manager to support our Real Estate Financing team in achieving attractive returns on investments and ensuring their full growth potential.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Managing Director and Senior Director with origination, initial screening of new financing opportunities, preparation of credit committee submissions, closings, ongoing portfolio management, and loan monitoring.

Main Responsibilities
  • Play an active role in due diligence processes and contribute to the preparation of credit committee presentations;
  • Assist with the credit application process, write-up of internal memos, and drafting of commitment letters;
  • Contribute to ongoing portfolio management as required (portfolio analysis, loan tracking, liaising with project parties), perform analysis of existing Real Estate Financing accounts, loan tracking, including detailed financial monitoring, and liaising with project partners;
  • Verify, analyze, and interpret data regarding new Real Estate Financing opportunities to ensure that the Managing Director and Senior Director are well-informed;
  • Coordinate transaction activities with other internal and external stakeholders;
  • Maintain current knowledge of the Real Estate environment through ongoing research and participating in networking events;
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree;
  • Professional designation (CFA, CPA, AACI, etc.) is an asset;
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience in Real Estate;
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite;
  • Ability to analyze market trends and relate them to the business;
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities;
  • Ability to liaise with legal counsel or other external stakeholders in relation to due diligence and transaction documentation;
