About the Role

LifeLabs, a leading provider of laboratory diagnostic information and digital health connectivity systems in Canada, is seeking an experienced Medical Lab Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, conducting a wide range of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting a variety of diagnostic and interpretive specimen tests with accuracy and precision
  • Preparing and processing samples, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation
  • Performing, interpreting, and releasing test results while maintaining patient confidentiality
  • Identifying incidents and non-conformities, participating in corrective action plans, and driving continuous improvement
  • Assisting with the evaluation and implementation of new technology and problem-solving in workflow organization
Requirements
  • College diploma or university degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent education and experience
  • CSMLS registration and good standing
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse individuals
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment, adhering to LifeLabs standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to distinguish multiple colors
  • Proficiency in MS Office products and laboratory analyzers
  • Problem-solving skills, including issue identification and follow-up
  • Maintenance of strictest safety, patient privacy, and confidentiality standards
