Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $250,000-$300,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Salaried Physicians enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including a municipal pension plan, psychological health & safety programs, and holistic wellness resources.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity is available at the Surrey Centre, located in Surrey, BC. The centre offers a full range of services in Medical Oncology, Hematology, Radiation Oncology, Palliative care, and support services such as Oral Oncology, Nutrition, Clinical Trials, and Patient and Family Counseling.

You will work closely with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care, focusing on reducing the incidence of cancer, reducing mortality from cancer, and improving the quality of life for those living with cancer.

Requirements
  • A commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada, as per TRC (2015), and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
  • Knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).
  • Access to professional development opportunities through in-house training programs, including over 2,000 courses, such as San'yas Indigenous Cultural Safety Training or Core Linx for Leadership roles.
  • Salaried Physicians are expected to have strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
