Job Description

As a Medical Laboratory Specialist in Microbiology and Diagnostics at LifeLabs, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely interpretive and diagnostic specimen testing and reporting.

You will contribute to patient well-being and the achievement of better health outcomes by ensuring accuracy, quality, efficiency, and expediting test results.

Our facilities are known as teaching laboratories, offering opportunities to share knowledge in a collaborative environment.

You will have 24-hour medical support through our Medical Science team and Medical Library, and the ability to teach our college and university student placements.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is between $33.00 and $41.00 per hour, based on location and experience.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A College diploma or University degree in Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • CSMLS registration and good standing.
  • Excellent communication skills to enable you to relate with a wide variety of people.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment while adhering to LifeLabs standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail who demonstrates curiosity.
  • Ability to distinguish multiple colors.
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office products, as well as laboratory analyzers.
