Job Summary:


We are seeking a skilled Medical Oncology Nurse Specialist to join our team at BC Cancer. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.


About the Role:


This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for an experienced nurse to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of our patients. The successful candidate will have a strong background in oncology nursing and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for assessing patients' needs, developing and implementing care plans, and providing education and support to patients and their families. Additionally, you will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery.

Requirements:



  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives
  • One year of recent experience in oncology nursing or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to apply clinical knowledge in practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Awareness of and commitment to learning and understanding the Truth & Reconciliation Commission's 94 Calls to Action
  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada
