Landscaping Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at JS Romana Landscaping. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our landscaping services, ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Hire, Train, and Supervise Staff: Lead a team of landscapers, gardeners, and maintenance personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
- Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans for residential and commercial properties, ensuring that all areas are well-manicured and visually appealing.
- Estimate Labour and Materials: Conduct thorough site assessments to determine the resources required for each project, ensuring that all materials and equipment are procured in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Organize and Direct Construction Projects: Oversee the construction of decks, patios, and other outdoor features, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards and within budget.
- Maintain Work Records and Logs: Accurately record and maintain all project-related data, including timelines, budgets, and personnel information.
- Tender and Administer Contracts: Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring that all agreements are fair and beneficial to JS Romana Landscaping.
- Read Blueprints and Drawings: Interpret and understand architectural plans and specifications, ensuring that all projects are completed in accordance with the client's requirements.
- Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment, and Supplies: Procure all necessary materials, equipment, and supplies, ensuring that they are delivered to the site in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice, and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: Identify and address any issues that may arise during projects, providing guidance and support to team members to ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards.
- Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures, ensuring that all team members are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
- 5-10 Years of Experience: Proven track record of success in a leadership role, with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in landscaping or a related field.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and suppliers, ensuring that all parties are informed and engaged throughout the project.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and manual dexterity required to perform the duties of the role.
- Language: Fluency in English is required, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
