Landscaping Supervisor

JS Romana Landscaping is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscaping Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our grounds maintenance and landscape construction teams.
Key Responsibilities- Hire, Supervise and Schedule Staff: Recruit, train, and manage a team of grounds maintenance and landscape construction professionals to ensure high-quality work and efficient operations.
- Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement comprehensive grounds maintenance plans to ensure the upkeep of our outdoor spaces.
- Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Conduct site assessments, estimate labour and material requirements, and develop project plans to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of landscape construction projects.
- Organize and Direct Construction of Decks and Decorative or Retaining Walls: Oversee the construction of decks, decorative walls, and other landscape features to ensure high-quality results and customer satisfaction.
- Plan, Manage and Supervise Landscape Construction Work: Coordinate and supervise landscape construction projects, including site preparation, planting, and hardscaping.
- Maintain Work Records and Logs: Maintain accurate records of work completed, including hours worked, materials used, and project timelines.
- Tender and Administer Contracts: Develop and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.
- Read Blueprints and Drawings: Interpret blueprints and drawings to ensure accurate implementation of landscape construction projects.
- Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment and Supplies: Source and procure materials, equipment, and supplies necessary for grounds maintenance and landscape construction projects.
- Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: Troubleshoot issues, provide technical guidance, and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality of work.
- Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures to ensure timely completion of projects and maintain high-quality standards.
