Job Title: FSQA Supervisor

Job Summary:

The FSQA Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products. This position is responsible for supervising FSQA Technicians and implementing food safety and quality procedures to meet all regulatory, customer, and Aspire Bakeries requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Comply with Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards, including BRC and SQF.
  • Support the HARPC Team in implementing an effective Food Safety plan focused on eliminating biological, chemical, physical, and economically motivated hazards from our foods.
  • Document, control, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), including procedures, records, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
  • Meet and exceed customer requirements.
  • Reduce customer/consumer complaints for foods manufactured on site using root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
  • Supervise and train FSQA Technicians, including coaching, development, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure completion of Quality Assurance Procedures Annual review by all FSQA Technologists.
  • Investigate and disposition of finished product placed on hold as a result of quality issues.
  • Maintain required hygiene, safety, and quality standards on the production floor.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree or relevant post-secondary science-related courses.
  • Training in HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points).
  • Trained in a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standard such as BRC or SQF.
  • Basic understanding of microbiology.
  • 3 years food industry manufacturing or quality experience, including supervisory experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of quality management and food safety systems.
