Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled FSQA Technician III to join our team. As a key member of our food safety and quality assurance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and quality of our food products. Your expertise in food safety and quality assurance will be essential in maintaining the highest standards for our products.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct food safety and quality testing procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Support the implementation of our food safety plan, including the identification and mitigation of potential food safety risks.
  • Sample, test, and document the Quality Management System (QMS), including procedures, records, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
  • Maintain the safety, legality, and quality of each food and the processes used in their manufacture.
  • Reduce customer/consumer complaints for foods manufactured on site.
  • Authorized to hold product based on food safety or quality non-conformance.
  • Participate in daily food evaluation to identify possible defects.
  • Participate in physical bakery inspections on a weekly basis to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
  • Select food items for analysis at specified stages in the production process to evaluate compliance to specification.
  • Perform pre-operational inspections and report any concerns to your supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Food Science, Microbiology, or Human Ecology preferred.
  • Training in HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points) preferred.
  • Training in a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standard such as BRC or SQF preferred.
  • Effective work ethic and good communications skills.
  • Good writing, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Detail oriented, and possess strong computer skills.
