The FSQA Supervisor plays a critical role in protecting our food products by overseeing the implementation of food safety and quality procedures. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards, such as BRC and SQF, and supporting the HARPC Team in developing an effective Food Safety plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with GFSI standards and regulatory requirements
  • Support the development and implementation of the Food Safety plan
  • Document, control, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Meet and exceed customer requirements
  • Reduce customer/consumer complaints through root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Manage and develop the FSQA team, including training and performance evaluations
  • Report food safety and quality issues to the Manager, FSQA
  • Coach and develop the FSQA team members
  • Ensure completion of Quality Assurance Procedures Annual review
  • Assist in investigating and resolving quality issues
  • Maintain hygiene, safety, and quality standards on the production floor

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree or relevant post-secondary science-related courses
  • Training in HACCP and a GFSI standard such as BRC or SQF
  • Basic understanding of microbiology
  • 3 years of food industry manufacturing or quality experience, including supervisory experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of quality management and food safety systems
