The FSQA Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products. This position is responsible for supervising FSQA Technicians and implementing food safety and quality procedures that meet all regulatory, customer, and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards, including BRC and SQF.
  • Support the HARPC Team in developing and implementing an effective Food Safety plan that identifies and mitigates biological, chemical, physical, and economically motivated hazards.
  • Manage the Quality Management System (QMS), including procedures, records, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
  • Meet and exceed customer requirements for quality and safety.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints and quality issues using root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
  • Supervise and develop the FSQA team, including training and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure the completion of Quality Assurance Procedures Annual review by all FSQA Technologists.
  • Assist in the investigation and disposition of finished product placed on hold due to quality issues.
  • Maintain the required hygiene, safety, and quality standards on the production floor.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree or relevant post-secondary science-related courses.
  • Training in HACCP and a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standard such as BRC or SQF.
  • Basic understanding of microbiology.
  • 3 years of food industry manufacturing or quality experience, including supervisory experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of quality management and food safety systems.
