About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Oliver Bonacini Cafe Grill - Blue Mountain. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of our menu items.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food production.
  • Estimate food costs, manage inventory, and maintain records of food consumption and sales.
  • Develop new recipes and improve existing ones to enhance our menu offerings.
  • Ensure that all food safety and quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan menus, manage kitchen operations, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and quality standards.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
