The Inter Pipeline is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Interim Consolidation Accountant to join their Financial Reporting team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for preparing the company's consolidated financial results and key internal management reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly consolidations of Inter Pipeline and its subsidiaries
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly internal reports for management
  • Assist with quarterly and annual submissions to Brookfield (parent company)
  • Support the preparation of external financial statements and notes to the financial statements
  • Provide ad-hoc internal reporting and technical support to management
  • Assist with the administration and maintenance of the OneStream consolidation system
  • Liaise with Accounting groups in Canada and Europe to resolve queries and provide technical support
  • Prepare the annual budget consolidation and reconciliation
  • Identify and execute efficiencies and improvements within the consolidation process

Requirements

  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
  • 3+ years of experience in a consolidation, financial reporting, or auditing role
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to solve complex problems and work with various stakeholders
  • Experience with consolidation systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with a 15-month fixed term from November 2024 to February 2026. As this position is security-sensitive, employment will be conditional upon completion of employment verification and criminal background check assessments with satisfactory results.
