Job Summary
The Inter Pipeline is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Interim Consolidation Accountant to join their Financial Reporting team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for preparing the company's consolidated financial results and key internal management reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform monthly consolidations of Inter Pipeline and its subsidiaries
- Prepare monthly and quarterly internal reports for management
- Assist with quarterly and annual submissions to Brookfield (parent company)
- Support the preparation of external financial statements and notes to the financial statements
- Provide ad-hoc internal reporting and technical support to management
- Assist with the administration and maintenance of the OneStream consolidation system
- Liaise with Accounting groups in Canada and Europe to resolve queries and provide technical support
- Prepare the annual budget consolidation and reconciliation
- Identify and execute efficiencies and improvements within the consolidation process
Requirements
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
- 3+ years of experience in a consolidation, financial reporting, or auditing role
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to solve complex problems and work with various stakeholders
- Experience with consolidation systems and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with a 15-month fixed term from November 2024 to February 2026. As this position is security-sensitive, employment will be conditional upon completion of employment verification and criminal background check assessments with satisfactory results.
