We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our client's team in Calgary. This is an 18-month contract role that requires strong financial reporting expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review consolidated quarterly and annual Management's Discussion and Analysis, as well as quarterly Audit Committee presentations and security filings.
  • Financial Statement Analysis: Analyze Financial Statements with notes, and perform monthly internal financial statements and presentations.
  • Account Reconciliation: Review calculations and journal entries supporting month-end accounting and reporting, and assist with account reconciliation analysis.
  • Audit Support: Assist with the external audit process and respond to ad hoc requests.
  • Special Projects: Participate in special projects and provide support as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and CPA designation, with at least 3 years of post-designation experience in oil and gas accounting, IFRS, and financial reporting. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are also required.

Salary Estimate: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
