Job Title: Manager of Accounting and Finance

About the Role:
CB Canada is seeking an experienced Manager of Accounting and Finance to join our team in Calgary. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.

Key Responsibilities:

Our ideal candidate will have previous management experience and a CPA designation. They will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing financial reporting and preparing, reviewing, and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Developing staff by managing performance, setting goals, and maintaining strong employee relationships
  • Reviewing month-end journal entries and reconciliations and preparing monthly reporting for stakeholders
  • Overseeing day-to-day accounting activities, including treasury functions, and reviewing of invoice and payment batches
  • Leading the interim and year-end financial audit activities and assisting with external consolidated annual financial statements
Requirements:
Qualifications:
  • CPA designation required; public accounting firm experience preferred
  • 5+ years post-designation experience
  • Previous management experience required
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work well across departments
