BGC Okanagan is seeking a skilled Early Childhood Development Specialist to provide home-based services to infants with or at risk of developmental delay and disability.

This position involves facilitating the development of the infant through various means, including parenting skills training and referrals to other resources such as parent groups, therapists, and community groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct home visits and maintain accurate records of the infant's progress
  • Provide regular reports to parents and professionals involved with the family
  • Refer clients to relevant resources and support services

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of child development principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A bachelor's degree in a field related to child development and a certificate in Infant Development and Supported Child Development are required. Additionally, the candidate must have at least one year of experience working with infants and young children and their families.

We offer a competitive salary of $68 per hour, plus benefits, to attract and retain top talent.

This role requires a valid Class 5 BC Driver's license and a reliable vehicle with appropriate liability insurance.
