Early Childhood Specialist

BGC Okanagan seeks an experienced Early Childhood Specialist to provide home-based services to infants with or at risk of developmental delay and disability, promoting their growth and development.
Job SummaryThis role involves offering a range of support to families, including parenting skills training, referrals to resources, and regular progress reports. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in child development and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Provide evidence-based parenting skills training to enhance family engagement and promote healthy development.
- Conduct thorough assessments of infant development and identify areas for support.
- Develop and implement personalized plans to address identified needs and goals.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, therapists, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support.
- Communicate effectively with families, providing clear progress updates and recommendations.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in a field related to child development.
- Certificate in Infant Development and Supported Child Development.
- At least one year of experience working with infants and young children and their families.
- A valid Class 5 BC Driver's license and reliable vehicle with liability insurance.
