Compensation

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of approximately $45,000 - $60,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, as well as a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Job Description

The Supported Child Development Assistant provides supplementary staffing support to ensure children with support needs can participate fully in childcare settings chosen by their families. Working within a designated childcare setting, this team member collaborates with childcare staff, parents, and families to ensure inclusive participation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supports children with special needs in inclusive childcare settings
  • Collaborates with childcare staff, parents, and families to promote inclusive participation
  • Works within a designated childcare setting as part of the childcare team

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a Certificate in Child Development, such as Early Childhood Education, Special Needs Education, Certified Education Assistant, or Bachelor of Education, or have a combination of related child development training and experience.
