About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technology Specialist to join our team at Plasman's Global HQ in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

This is a full-time, permanent position that requires 1-3 years of experience in IT/Manufacturing environments, as well as proficiency in MS SQL, .NET, PMP, SCRUM, and other relevant technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for the staging shop floor equipment, as well as operation, support, troubleshooting, and standardization of the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) in a mission-critical 24X7 production system environment.
  2. Accountable for Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) IT support to all Plasman facilities and responsible for production support and maintenance, including off-hours/weekend support issues and possible scheduled shift rotations.
  3. Accountable for first-line support of the MES workstations and + barcode printers and scanners across Plasman locations.
  4. Responsible for commissioning, setup, configuration, and deployment of hardware and software for MES projects and product launches.
  5. Responsible for proactive and preventative maintenance and support of MES equipment; PC's, networking, barcode printers, scanners, and other MES-related equipment.
  6. Troubleshoot and support MES / RTL and other IT-related helpdesk tickets.
  7. Ensure appropriate equipment inventory is maintained and available for production use.
  8. Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
  9. Promote an atmosphere of teamwork at all times.
  10. Ensure that a clean and safe work environment is always maintained.
  11. Ensure that sufficient resources are available for each department, including training, safety requirements, personnel, work instructions, procedures, and related tools.

The Skills You Bring

  1. Post-secondary school diploma or equivalent.
  2. 1-3 years of experience in IT/Manufacturing environments.
  3. 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing execution system (MES) and/or IT systems.
  4. Prior barcode/label printer and scanner experience.
  5. Proficiency in MS SQL, .NET, PMP, SCRUM, Etc.
  6. Domain experience/certifications with MES (manufacturing execution systems), MOM (manufacturing operations management), SCADA, and MRP/ERP-related systems.
  7. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  8. Strong communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
