Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join our team at Doman Building Materials Group Ltd. in Vancouver, BC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process payroll for approximately 800 Canadian hourly, union, and salaried employees at multiple locations using ADP's Workforce Now (WFN) system.
  • Prepare payroll journal entries, reconcile, and prepare reports to ensure accurate and timely payment of employees.
  • Administer employee benefits, including processing enrolment, terminations, and changes, and reconciling monthly benefits statements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in payroll and time and attendance database.
  • Assist managers and employees with payroll-related questions and provide excellent customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with CRA regulations and provincial Employment Standards.
Requirements
  • Proficient in ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience with full-cycle Canadian payroll administration.
  • Experience processing hourly and salaried payroll.
  • Minimum one (1) year's experience with benefits administration.
  • Fundamental understanding of accounting principles.
  • Knowledgeable about CRA regulations and provincial Employment Standards.
  • Meticulous, accurate, and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.

Employment Details

Permanent, full-time position.

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
