We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Manager to join our team in Northern Canada. As a key member of our retail leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing store-specific action plans to drive sales growth, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in high-volume grocery/retail environments, with a minimum of two years of experience in a management role. They will possess strong knowledge of grocery operating principles, excellent organizational and planning skills, and the ability to work independently in remote areas.

The North West Company offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus allowances for food and accommodation, paid training, and a comprehensive benefits package. **Job Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement store-specific action plans to achieve planned profitability, sales, and controllable expense targets.
  • Ensure appropriate merchandise is ordered, tailored to specific market needs, to maximize local sales opportunities.
  • Control labor and overhead costs, monitor cash, receivables, and store controls, and ensure loss prevention and shrink are well controlled.
  • Ensure solid execution of in-store selling activities, financial services, marketing programs, and company standards in support of corporate initiatives.
  • Develop a community relations plan to foster long-term business relationships with customers, community stakeholders, and political leaders.
