About the Position

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nurse in Charge to oversee the coordination, planning, and delivery of community home care services across nine communities in the Dehcho Region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that services align with NWT Continuing Care Standards, nursing practice guidelines, and NTHSSA policies.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Manage a team of nurses, support workers, and activity coordinators to provide safe, standardized care to residents.
  • Conduct regular assessments to identify individual client needs and develop appropriate care plans.
  • Supervise and evaluate staff performance, identifying areas for professional development and ensuring compliance with clinical standards and guidelines.
  • Maintain high standards of service through regular travel across the region.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.
  • At least 3 years of recent nursing experience, with at least 1 year in continuing care.
  • 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • A valid Driver's License.
Compensation Package

We offer a competitive salary range of $73,500 - $94,300 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, pension plan, and paid vacation time.
