We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Manager to join our team at The North West Company Inc.
About the RoleAs a Store Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing store-specific action plans to achieve planned profitability, sales, and controllable expense targets.
- Develop detailed action plans to achieve financial goals and communicate these plans to the store team.
- Ensure appropriate merchandise is ordered to maximize local sales opportunities.
- Control labor and overhead costs.
- Monitor all cash, receivables, and store controls.
The salary for this role is estimated to be between $65,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, allowances for food and accommodation, paid training, and opportunities for career advancement.
ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities of this role include:
- Ensuring solid execution of in-store selling activities, financial services, marketing programs, and company standards.
- Developing a community relations plan to build long-term business relationships with customers, community stakeholders, and political leaders.
- Maintaining expert knowledge of store operations, competition, and economic factors impacting the community.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of two years of experience in a high-volume grocery/retail environment.
- Record of bottom-line and sales results in previous roles.
- Computer knowledge of Excel and Outlook.
- Strong knowledge of grocery operating principles.
- Proven organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills.
