Job Title:

Construction Project Engineer - Structural Steel Fabrication Specialist

Job Summary:

Chohan Property Management is seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Engineer to join our team. As a Construction Project Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and planning structural steel fabrications, conducting economic analyses, and ensuring construction plans meet guidelines and specifications of building codes and other regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and plan structural steel fabrications
  • Conduct economic analyses
  • Conduct environmental impact studies
  • Act as project or site supervisor for land survey or construction work
  • Conduct site visits to gather relevant information
  • Confer with clients and other members of the engineering team and conduct research to determine project requirements
  • Develop construction specifications and procedures
  • Ensure construction plans meet guidelines and specifications of building codes and other regulations
  • Establish and monitor construction work schedules
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate building and construction materials
  • Interpret, review and approve survey and civil design work
  • Prepare contract documents and review and evaluate tenders for construction projects
  • Provide customer service
  • Supervise technicians, technologists and other engineers and review and approve designs, calculations and cost estimates
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of experience in construction project management
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license
