About the Government of British Columbia:

The BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) is a key part of the government's efforts to regulate and oversee the beverage alcohol and non-medical cannabis industries in the province.

Reporting to the Executive Director, Corporate Services, the Director of Environmental Sustainability will play a critical role in shaping the LDB's approach to environmental sustainability. This position requires strategic thinking, leadership, and collaboration skills to drive positive change within the organization and beyond.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing an enterprise-wide environmental sustainability strategy, working closely with stakeholders and partners to advance this goal, and providing guidance on governance, risk management, and financial oversight.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Master's degree in environmental sustainability or a related field, along with at least 4 years of recent experience in a similar capacity. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 6 years of experience may also be considered.

Key qualifications for this position include experience in environmental sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and strategic planning. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
