About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Service Specialist to join our team in the Water Treatment Industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting our Sales team on a technical level, conducting lab trials and field trials to optimize product selection and operational improvements at our customers' operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify value-added product options for customers' operations, focusing on Flocculants and Coagulants.
  • Conduct field trials at customers' operations to confirm and verify lab findings.
  • Work with internal teams and customers on new product formulations.
  • Respond to customers' technical or chemical performance queries.
  • Deliver internal technical training to personnel as required.
  • Participate in joint calls with sellers to support and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Assist with Water Treatment Conferences and network with industry stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary training in chemical science, chemical or petroleum engineering.
  • 2-3 years of experience in technical sales or marketing (preferred but not required).
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
  • Strong knowledge of Water and Wastewater treatment plants, with a focus on coagulation and flocculation chemistries.
  • Experience with lab-scale equipment, such as Scion 456 GC-FID, Perkin Elmer Spectrum, FT-IR, Hach DR 1900 Spectrophotometer, Turbidimeter, pressure filters, and vacuum filters.
  • Ability to write technical laboratory reports and present findings to customers in a clear manner.
