We are seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join our team at Elqueena Support Services Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to payroll, including calculating and preparing cheques, preparing statements of earnings, and maintaining payroll records.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll procedures and regulations, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills. They will be able to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and will be able to maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
The Payroll Officer will be responsible for:
- Calculating and preparing cheques for payroll
- Preparing statements of earnings for employees, indicating gross and net salaries and deductions such as taxes, union dues, garnishments and insurance and pension plans
- Maintaining payroll records, including employee attendance, leave and overtime
- Preparing T4 statements and other statements
- Performing other payroll-related tasks as required
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll procedures and regulations, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills. They will be able to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and will be able to maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
