Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Finance Officer to join our team at Shabad Transport Inc.

About the Role

This is a permanent position requiring 40 hours of work per week. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of financial operations and excellent analytical skills.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $60,000-$80,000 per year, based on industry standards and the location of the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Payroll Processing: Prepare and process payroll cheques, calculate fixed assets and depreciation.
  • Accounting Tasks: Post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and prepare trial balances.
  • Reporting: Generate various financial reports, including statistical and accounting reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Education: A post-secondary education or equivalent experience in finance or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an urban setting.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Work Environment

This position offers a fast-paced work environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks. You must be able to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
