About the Role:

We are seeking a Finance Manager, Shared Services to be based in our office in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada headquarters. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various finance-related functions, including banking, treasury, tax, insurance, and audit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of the Canadian Cashpool for all ASSA ABLOY companies in Canada, including month-end reporting and coordination with related companies on interest and cash reconciliation with our international Head Office.
  • Maintaining an efficient system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over treasury activities and provide support for regulatory reporting.
  • Developing a structure to work with business partners in a shared services capacity in areas including insurance, corporate credit cards, travel programs, payroll, and expense reporting.
  • Coordinating the annual tax return of the Legal entity and acting as a liaison between Internal Corporate Tax Team and External Tax accountants.
  • Working with Corporate Tax Team on tax initiatives, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and submitting sales tax returns and related filings.
  • Performing monthly full-cycle accounting tasks such as journal entries, analysis of general ledger accounts, etc.
  • Reviewing monthly general ledger reconciliations and investigating differences.
  • Familiarity with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standard) and ability to implement.
  • Assisting with special projects, including ERP improvements, etc.
  • Creating and continuously improving financial policies, procedures, processes, systems, and initiatives.
  • Producing various ad-hoc analysis, reports, and other responsibilities as required.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Business or Accounting.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a corporate finance department.
  • Knowledge and experience working with data analysis software.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics NAV) is an asset.
  • Strong analytical ability and data analysis skills.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
