Director, Clinical Services, Laboratory Services, William Osler Health System

William Osler Health System is seeking a strategic leader to oversee the delivery of its Laboratory Services program. The successful candidate will provide overall leadership and accountability for lab service delivery, prioritizing requests effectively and ensuring the department meets its critical role as the hub of the hospital. The Director will work in partnership with the Corporate Chief and Medical Director to balance competing priorities, foster trust and cooperation, and guide the department toward stability and success.
The ideal candidate is a strong yet understanding leader who excels in navigating the complexities of hospital operations, particularly in the high-stakes environment of laboratory management. With a minimum of eight years in a clinical acute care setting, they will excel at creating efficiency across multiple functions, and be a proven change agent and process improver. They will be adept at managing diverse stakeholders and fostering collaboration at all levels, gaining trust and buy-in to consistently deliver transformative results, aligning operational practices with the Osler's strategic vision.
The Director will play a key role in building out a healthcare program that addresses the needs of people from all over the world and all levels of income, experiencing minor and life-threatening injuries and diseases. As a major hospital system, William Osler is home to some of the biggest specialty and emergency departments in the country, and the Director will broaden their expertise, increase their knowledge, and their own adaptability, and gain endless opportunities for growth.
