We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our inter-professional team in the Medicine Unit at William Osler Health System.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled nurse to provide quality patient-focused care and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Practice safe nursing care in all aspects of the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Provide professional, patient-centred care to ensure patient safety and physiological and psychological well-being.
- Comply with policies and procedures associated with observations and practice according to infection control and prevention measures.
- Respond to emergency situations by recognizing changes in patient's health status and consulting appropriately when necessary.
- Provide health teaching to patients and families, including through discharge instructions, to ensure continuity of care in the community.
- Current registration, in good standing, with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Sound knowledge of nursing process, theory, and responsibilities to the nursing profession.
- BCLS required.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of the inter-professional team.
- Demonstrated knowledge of patient and family-centred care.
- Demonstrated experience with patient and family health teaching.
- Demonstrated leadership and facilitation skills.
- Excellent physical assessment skills.
- Ability to promote a healthy work environment and practice excellent client safety guidelines.
- Must demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation, and Collaboration.
The salary for this position is approximately $95,000-$105,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits include comprehensive health and dental insurance, pension plan, and opportunities for professional development.
Please note that hours of work may include days, evenings, 8-hour shifts, including weekends and statutory holidays, subject to change in accordance with operational requirements.
