Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Director to join our team in Toronto. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment and retention strategies for our Toronto office, providing leadership and coaching to our Talent Acquisition Specialists, and overseeing the exit interview process.
Main Responsibilities:- Strategic Recruitment: Manage all aspects of staff recruitment, including developing and implementing recruitment strategies aligned with growth objectives, collaborating with Senior Management to understand staffing needs, and acting as a brand ambassador to build and communicate the firm's employee value proposition.
- Recruitment Campaigns: Manage all recruitment initiatives, including determining recruitment and search strategies, managing a portfolio of searches, and developing job advertisements and coordinating development of job descriptions.
- Internal Transfer/Promotion: Manage the transfer and promotion process, including drafting letters, ensuring necessary paperwork is complete, and supporting hiring managers.
- Onboarding/Orientation: Approve backchecks and responsible for lifting conditions of new hires.
- Applicant Tracking System: Administer and own data for the Applicant Tracking System, including liaising with system vendors, training talent acquisition team and hiring managers on new workflow processes/functionality, and utilizing the applicant tracking system to track, manage, and report on candidate pipelines.
- Post-secondary education in a related business discipline and completion of courses towards a Human Resources certificate/designation.
- At least five years of related HR experience, including 3-5 years of proven experience leading a Talent Acquisition team or HR Administration team with a recruitment portfolio.
- Experience in a large law firm environment or a professional services organization is an asset.
- An estimated salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
- A hybrid work arrangement, including a requirement to work primarily in the office and flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week.
