**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse Leader to join our team at William Osler Health System. As a Clinical Nurse Leader, you will play a key role in providing quality patient care to our patients in the Medicine Unit.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the inter-professional healthcare team to provide comprehensive care.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide patient-centered care, promoting safety, physiological, and psychological well-being.
  • Practice according to infection control and prevention measures.
  • Respond to emergency situations, recognizing changes in patient health status and consulting appropriately.
  • Provide health teaching to patients and families, ensuring continuity of care in the community.

**Qualifications:**

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Sound knowledge of nursing process, theory, and responsibilities to the nursing profession.
  • BCLS required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of the inter-professional team.
  • Knowledge of patient and family-centered care.
  • Experience with patient and family health teaching.
  • Leadership and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Ability to work in a stressful and fast-paced environment.
  • Exemplary clinical practice with an inter-professional team.
  • Ability to prioritize patient care needs and make autonomous decisions.

  • Ability to promote a healthy work environment and practice excellent client safety guidelines.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
