Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing ultrasound procedures, facilitating patient care, and providing high-quality imaging to radiologists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasound procedures in accordance with departmental standards to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
  • Facilitate the provision of optimal patient care, observing and understanding hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to hospital mission and value statements while maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Provide radiologists with high-quality imaging, accurate and complete preliminary technical impressions, and discuss ultrasound findings with the radiologist when necessary.
  • Perform other duties related to the job classification as required.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program in ultrasound technology.
  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists in Ontario (CMRITO) required.
  • ARDMS (CRGS) certification in abdomen and obstetrics/gynecology with preference given to those who are also RVT (CRVS) or eligibility for registration with ARDMS (CRGS) within six months of the date of hire.
  • Recent experience in related areas of responsibility required.
  • Able to perform breast imaging is an asset.
  • Experience in general abdominal, obstetrics/gynecology, pediatric, vascular, and musculoskeletal ultrasound is an asset.
  • Experience in ultrasound special procedures, such as biopsies, is an asset.
  • FMF NT certification is an asset.
  • Membership with Sonography Canada is an asset.
  • Proven skill in the production of high-quality ultrasound images.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation, and Collaboration.
  • Excellent attendance, punctuality, and work record.

Additional Information

Hours: Weekend nights, 8-hour shifts, including statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements).
