Senior Partner, Mining Sector Impact Assessment

We are seeking an experienced leader to join our global consulting firm as a key client-facing partner in Canada. This is an opportunity to become a true owner and shareholder in a business with sustainability at its core.
The ideal candidate will have established relationships with mining companies, along with technical expertise designing and implementing environmental and social baseline studies and leading the preparation of impact assessments and development permits for capital projects with a focus on Canada.
As a senior leader, you will be accountable for selling and overseeing development of regulatory strategies, stewarding data collection and preparatory studies, and undertaking federal and provincial environmental, social, economic, heritage and health impact assessments, and permit applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other ERM Partners to develop commercial strategies to pursue and win new business opportunities with mining clients aligned with ERM's global strategy.
- Provide business value, raising the profile of ERM's capabilities and selling strategically within client organizations.
- Develop new and expand existing client relationships by delivering strategic consulting advice, excellent value, and quality service.
Requirements:
- BSc/MSc in environmental science, engineering, law or equivalent.
- 15+ years of demonstrated experience with capital project delivery, impact assessment and/or permitting, working substantially with the mining sector in Canada.
- In-depth understanding of the mining industry, including juniors, mid-tier and major miners and existing industry relationships that can be leveraged into new business.
