Veterinary Reception and Client Care

Location:

VCA Canada Ottawa Veterinary Hospital is currently welcoming a full-time Client Care Coordinator to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an organized, motivated, and empathetic individual to support our clients and their pets in a very important role. In this position, you will help our clients and their pets feel welcomed and appreciated.

  • Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting pets and pet parents at ease and creating a welcoming environment
  • Ability to answer a multiline phone system and track and book appointments effectively
  • Scheduling appointments; Admitting and discharging pet patients
  • Invoicing/billing; creating estimates and processing payments
  • Take initiative and work independently
  • A Veterinary Assistant (VA) or Veterinary Assistant Office Administration (VAOA) program certificate is an asset
  • General housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas, and common areas
  • Willingness to learn more regarding; veterinary services, updated medical office procedures, and assist the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
  • A love for all companion animals
