Operational Resilience and Risk Associate

Job Summary
The Operational Resilience and Risk Associate will be part of the Capital Markets Operational Risk and Resilience (CM ORR) unit within the CM Risk and Regulatory Service (RRS) group. The CM ORR team is responsible for providing internal control support and oversight on Operational Resilience, Business Continuity Management, and Operational Risk to CM business units.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will drive the global Operational Resilience, Crisis Management, and Business Continuity Management mandate. This includes implementing the Operational Resilience program, managing the crisis and incident response protocol, maintaining business continuity documentation, facilitating business continuity testing, and executing tabletop exercise/scenario testing.
The candidate will also support the global Operational Risk mandate, which includes maintaining/enhancing the Process, Risk, and Control (PRC) Library, conducting Operational Risk assessments, and executing on key Operational Risk projects and initiatives.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, the ability to create and execute a detailed plan for short- and long-term work. They will also have the ability to build positive stakeholder relationships within GM, I&CB, and OCOO, and across Corporate Support Areas to garner support, advice, and partnership that enables execution of the role.
The candidate will have methodically problem-solving skills across a continuum that ranges from simple day-to-day issues to highly complex business, technical, or regulatory issues. They will also have the ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) at all levels of the organization, including the most senior executives, including drafting communications and running calls and meetings.
Education and Experience
The candidate will have an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Economics, Finance, and/or relevant background. A graduate degree or professional designations in related disciplines would be an asset. The candidate will also have 5+ years of Banking/Financial Institution/Management Consulting experience with relevant Business Risk exposure, including Business Continuity, Operational Risk, Regulatory Compliance, Cyber Security, Third Party Risk, Technology Resiliency, Legal, AML, etc.
