Medical Oncologist/Hematologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Oncologist/Hematologist to join our team at the Provincial Health Services Authority. As a key member of our collaborative care team, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients with lymphoma and myeloma.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients with lymphoma and myeloma, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in the field of medical oncology and hematology, and incorporate this knowledge into your practice.
- Participate in clinical, research, administrative, and educational activities to contribute to the growth and development of our team.
- Fellowship standing in the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine, along with a certificate of Special Competence in Medical Oncology or Hematology.
- Interest and expertise in lymphoma and myeloma treatment.
- Eligibility for licensing with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia and credentialing by the Professional Advisory Committee of BC Cancer.
- Eligibility for a clinical appointment in the Division of Medical Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act.
- Knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).
