About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Oncologist/Hematologist to join our team at the Provincial Health Services Authority. As a key member of our cancer care team, you will be responsible for providing expert medical care to patients with cancer and blood disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat patients with cancer and blood disorders, including lymphoma and myeloma
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
  • Participate in clinical research and education to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in medical oncology and hematology
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Meet the requirements of credentialing by the Professional Advisory Committee of BC Cancer
Requirements
  • Fellowship standing in the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine
  • Certificate of Special Competence in Medical Oncology or Hematology
  • Eligibility for licensing with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia
  • Eligibility for a clinical appointment in the Division of Medical Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia
  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada
  • Knowledge of social, economic, political and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports
