Medical Oncologist/Hematologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Oncologist/Hematologist to join our team at the Provincial Health Services Authority. As a key member of our cancer care team, you will be responsible for providing expert medical care to patients with cancer and blood disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat patients with cancer and blood disorders, including lymphoma and myeloma
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
- Participate in clinical research and education to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in medical oncology and hematology
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Meet the requirements of credentialing by the Professional Advisory Committee of BC Cancer
- Fellowship standing in the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine
- Certificate of Special Competence in Medical Oncology or Hematology
- Eligibility for licensing with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia
- Eligibility for a clinical appointment in the Division of Medical Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada
- Knowledge of social, economic, political and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports
