The estimated salary for this position is CAD $37,114 - CAD $47,417 per year, based on a 0.46 FTE and a standard hourly rate of CAD $40.39.

About the Role

This LPN position involves working as part of an interdisciplinary care team to provide patient-centered care and support clients with predictable outcomes within a designated area of specialty. You will perform full scope practical nursing functions, assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document client care, and provide support to clients and their families.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing full scope of practical nursing functions for clients with predictable outcomes within a designated area of specialty.
  • Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting client care.
  • Providing support to clients and their families.
  • Working collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary care team and under general supervision, supporting the Registered Nurse in caring for clients with unpredictable outcomes or where the acuity or complexity of care requires an advanced level of knowledge and skill beyond the scope of practice for Licensed Practical Nurses.

Maintaining and advancing clinical competence pursuant to the standards of practice of BCCNM for Licensed Practical Nurses is also essential.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
