Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-centric Small Business Advisor to join our Canadian Banking Branch network. As an essential member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our small business clients, building strong relationships, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of high-value and complex small business owner relationships to achieve retention and negotiated goals while meeting Scotiabank's Service Standard.
  • Develop relationships with various Centres of Influence within the local business community.
  • Proactively engage with new and existing clients to build strong, ongoing relationships and provide comprehensive advice to enable them to build successful businesses.
  • Partner with fellow advisors to create a customer-centric environment.
Requirements
  • Mandarin or Cantonese language proficiency.
  • Results-oriented attitude and sound knowledge of the small business market, including features and benefits of small business products and services.
  • Excellent business development techniques and conversance with small business legal structures and life cycles, competitor offerings, and alternate sources of financing.
  • Good organizational skills and flexibility to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
  • Strong relationship builder and communicator, proficient at collaborating with others.
  • Education in a business-related discipline or equivalent work experience as a small business owner.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
