About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Plumber Apprentice to join our team at NEW LINE PLUMBING INC. As a Plumber Apprentice, you will assist our experienced plumbers in installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
  • Prepare Tenders and Quotations: Prepare tenders and quotations for plumbing projects, taking into account the requirements of the client and the resources available.
  • Assist in Pipe Installation: Assist in the installation of pipes, pipe fittings, and fixtures, ensuring that all work is done to a high standard and in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Test Pipes for Leaks: Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges, ensuring that all pipes are functioning correctly and safely.
  • Estimate Costs and Materials: Estimate the costs and materials required for plumbing projects, taking into account the complexity of the job and the resources available.
  • Measure, Cut, and Bend Pipes: Measure, cut, and bend pipes to the required shape and size, ensuring that all work is done to a high standard and in accordance with safety protocols.
Work Environment

As a Plumber Apprentice at NEW LINE PLUMBING INC, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of clients and projects. You will be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in wet/damp conditions, so you must be physically fit and able to work in a variety of environments.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the plumbing trade.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Schedule: 30 hours per week.
