About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Plumber Apprentice to join our team at NEW LINE PLUMBING INC. As a Plumber Apprentice, you will assist our experienced plumbers in installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
  • Prepare Tenders and Quotations: Prepare tenders and quotations for plumbing projects, taking into account the requirements of the client and the resources available.
  • Assist in Pipe Installation: Assist experienced plumbers in installing pipes, pipe fittings, and fixtures, ensuring that all work is done to a high standard.
  • Test Pipes for Leaks: Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges, ensuring that all pipes are functioning correctly.
  • Estimate Costs and Materials: Estimate the costs and materials required for plumbing projects, taking into account the client's budget and requirements.
  • Measure, Cut, and Bend Pipes: Measure, cut, and bend pipes to the required shape and size, using a variety of tools and equipment.
Work Environment

As a Plumber Apprentice, you will work in a variety of locations, including commercial and residential sites. You will be required to work in confined spaces, wet/damp environments, and at heights. You will also be required to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the plumbing trade.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Schedule: 30 hours per week.
