Senior DevOps Engineer - Workday Everywhere

Workday, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for driving a full stack DevOps service ownership culture within our team.

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned DevOps professional with expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, and security. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS Cloud Development Kit, Terraform, and container deployment and orchestration technologies. You will work closely with our engineering team to evolve our architecture to meet future product, scale, and resiliency requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage infrastructure resources using AWS Cloud Development Kit and Terraform.
  • Develop expertise in our system architecture and guide the engineering team to improve our infrastructure.
  • Implement production system changes to meet company requirements, such as High Availability and Disaster Recovery compliance.
  • Build self-service tooling that empowers application developers to interact with production environments.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to production incidents: triage, fix, and resolution.

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced DevOps professional with a strong background in cloud infrastructure, automation, and security. You should have a strong understanding of AWS technologies and experience working with container deployment and orchestration technologies. If you are passionate about writing quality and well-tested code, and have experience with distributed cloud service development, infrastructure, traffic management, and architecture, we want to hear from you.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years overall experience, with a minimum of 3+ years as a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer.
  • 3+ years infrastructure and automation experience, with technologies like AWS Cloud Development Kit and Terraform.
  • 2+ years hands-on experience using AWS technologies.
