About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our team at Samurai Sushi Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for leading our culinary team and ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to a high standard.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food to maintain consistency across the kitchen.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient operation of the kitchen.
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
- Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain hygiene and safety standards.
- Recruit and hire staff to build a skilled and motivated team.
- Manage kitchen operations to achieve high productivity and efficiency.
What We Offer
- A competitive salary range of $50,000 - $70,000 per year, based on experience.

Requirements
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience as a Head Chef or similar role.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and relevant vocational training or certification.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff effectively.
- Excellent culinary skills and attention to detail, with a passion for delivering high-quality dishes.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
