At Pet Valu, we're passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and fostering a positive work environment. We're seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support our growing team in Ontario.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our organization as we open a brand-new distribution centre for Pet Valu. As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for providing first-level support for employee relations and performance management, primarily for the Distribution Centre, Logistics, and Store groups in Ontario.
The successful candidate will have post-secondary education with a focus in Human Resources Management, preferably CHRP certified or working towards it. A minimum of 1-3 years of Human Resources administrative experience is required, with a strong background in performance management and employee relations.
You will be comfortable working in a dynamic environment, frequently interacting with employees in person, over the phone, via email, or through our anonymous employee hotline. Your ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions will be essential.
The majority of your work hours will be during normal office hours, Monday to Friday, although some early mornings, late evenings, or weekends may be required on occasion. Comfortable working onsite 3 days a week in a Distribution Centre environment is a must.
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000-$65,000 per year, a full suite of employer-paid benefits, including mental health coverage, an Employee Share Purchase Plan, tuition reimbursement, and a collaborative team focused on personal development and growth.
This role will not only provide you with a rewarding career but also allow you to be part of the opening of a brand-new distribution centre for Pet Valu.
