Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinician to join our Specialized Services department. As a key member of our team, you will provide primary therapeutic, case management, and mental health and substance use support services to clients in various settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment and treatment services to clients, including initial and ongoing assessments, and develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the inter-professional clinical team.
  • Teach clients and others in one-on-one and group settings, promoting education and skill-building.
  • Integrate best practice and current research evidence to inform professional practice decisions and actions, with a strong focus on harm reduction and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the public, as well as with medical staff and members of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Apply conflict resolution skills and promote client-focused care that demonstrates care for and with clients and significant others.
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate degree in a mental health and substance use related discipline, plus two years of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Strong assessment and treatment skills, with the ability to integrate and evaluate pertinent data to problem-solve and make decisions effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to promote client-focused care and work collaboratively with others.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
