Bartle & Gibson is currently seeking a career-orientated individual to join our team as an Inside Electrical Sales Representative. This position handles Electrical Inside Sales and Quotations for our customers.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to warm up and develop instant rapport with potential customers. They will be able to develop long-term relationships and generate referrals from their customers.
The successful candidate will also possess impeccable organizational skills with attention to detail, as well as time management and multitasking skills to serve several customers at the same time.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is self-motivated and able to function effectively both independently and as a member of a team. They will be required to work in a fast-paced environment that requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
We are offering a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including company paid benefits, an Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP), profit sharing, RRSP match, paid sick days, career growth opportunities, and more.
In this role, you will be responsible for responding to inquiries and processing incoming calls and orders. You will also be contacting current customers and identifying new products and potential up-selling opportunities. Other duties may include entering orders into the system, sourcing materials for customers when currently not in stock, maintaining knowledge base on current products and learning about new products, providing product information and pricing quotations, follow-up on quotes, developing and maintaining positive customer relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction, supporting Counter Sales, handling returns as required, and working closely with others to ensure customer needs are met.
To be successful in this role, you will require a minimum of two years' sales experience (counter sales, inside sales or outside sales) and a minimum grade 12 education. Post-secondary courses in Electrical are preferred, but not required. Skilled in serving and negotiating with institutional and industrial purchasers, electrical contractors, and the public is essential. Knowledge of the electrical industry or a background in electrical products would be considered an asset, including lighting, wiring devices, distribution, and motor control.
Final candidates will be required to undergo an assessment and security screening, including a criminal record check. Employment is subject to screening completion that is satisfactory to Bartle & Gibson.
